I recently contributed to an article for the Officeworks blog about how you can be more efficient and productive working from home.
One of the tools I mention is The Pomodoro Technique® where you break your day, or individual tasks, into Pomodoro’s or blocks of 15 minutes. The idea, in brief, is that you set a timer and work intensely for this period which is followed by a short break of 5 minutes.
I use this technique regularly and find it particularly helpful if I am procrastinating as I know that it is a short, manageable block where I can really focus my energy and it isn’t long before a break to stretch the legs or get a cuppa, then right back into it again.
If you are interested in learning more about The Pomodoro Technique® and the significance of tomatoes, you can purchase the e-book online through The Pomodoro Technique® website.
I will share some other productivity tools in future posts. What other tools do you use to help you to simplify your work life?
