Who doesn’t love a good before and after photo!
House renos, body makeovers, and of course home organisation ones. We love before and after photos and we frequently take such photos for our clients and for our reference as well.
We also take photos for our longer term clients at various stages throughout the process too which are particularly important for our clients who are chronically disorganised so they can see how much closer they are to achieving their goals as it is easy to forget where we started sometimes. You know the story, you have lost 15kg but it is that last 5 to go that seems like the biggest challenge in the world even though you are 75% of the way to your goal. Reflecting back on just how much we have achieved, despite what still might feel like a mountain in front of us, can be a great motivator and reminder of just how competent we are.
Why don’t we share more?
We would love to celebrate the achievements of our clients and shout it from the rooftops but achieving your goal doesn’t always look like something you will find on Pinterest and that is more than ok. We celebrate client achievements in other ways which don’t have to be public.
We are very respectful of people’s privacy and some people just don’t want to share photos of their homes on the internet. We ask permission to take photos, but we don’t usually ask permission to use them for the purpose of promoting our business. Don’t get us wrong, we love looking at before and after pics and it is a great promotion tool for many businesses, and we have also used them and still do at times, it is just not a marketing tool that we choose to use on a regular basis.
Your home is your sanctuary, whether it is Pinterest-worthy or a work-in-progress. It doesn’t need to meet the standards of others, it just needs to be a safe, functional space where you feel calm, comfortable and sheltered.
